We provide services designed to promote independence and choice to enhance the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT) Birth to 3 Program

Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare contracts with the Department of Early Learning, Early Support for Infants & Toddlers program, to coordinate early intervention services for developmentally delayed children throughout Okanogan County. Early Intervention provides services for infants and toddlers ages birth to three who have a developmental concern and/or disability. A family Resource Coordinator (FRC) can help arrange developmental screening and follow-up evaluation to determine eligibility. A Family Resource Coordinator coordinates all evaluation, therapy services & family services, ensures compliance and Part C regulations including parent rights and timelines, develops and maintains children's Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP), and initiates and coordinates the child transition process at age 3.

Community Information

Program focuses on activities designed to educate and inform people in the community about developmental disabilities and related services through consultation, education, training and community awareness activities. Topics may include IFSP's, IEP's, understanding the IFSP process, disability awareness, effective communication and collaboration between families and schools, employment possibilities and opportunities in rural communities for individuals with disabilities, and transition services. 

Goals of DD Services: 

  • To emphasize choices and enhance opportunities for people with special needs and/or disabilities of all ages by focusing on developing each person's abilities and strengths. 
  • To enhance existing services and create a flexible system to meet the individual needs of people with developmental disabilites throughout Okanogan County.
  • To promote activities and relationships common to all people within the county. 

Developmental Disabilities Day Programs

Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare serves as the County Coordinator of the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Day Programs for Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) eligible clients throughout Okanogan County. 

Community Access (CA)

Community Access (CA) is support to assist individuals to participate in activities that promote individualized skill development, independent living and community integration. 

Individualized Supported Employment (ISE)

Individual Supported Employment (ISE) services are a part of an individual's pathway to employment and are tailored to individual needs, interests, abilities, and promote career development. The service providers for these programs include Ambitions and Northwest Center.
