Special Needs Housing Project Assistance
Help is needed to establish a special needs housing project currently under design. This nearly 11,500 square foot facility is projected to transitionally house 25 homeless men and women from Okanogan County while they receive basic life skills, treatment, and stabilize their lives in a safe and sober supervised setting. Fiscal assistance from the community is a vital element in enabling the receipt of grants to help with the construction and operation of this $3,000,000 facility. Currently there are no year-around sheltered housing opportunities available to Okanogan County residents and your donation will make a difference. We recently received some very exciting news from the Washington State Housing Trust Fund; our Supportive Therapeutic Housing Project was awarded a grant for $2 million dollars. Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare plans to break ground in May 2009 for our housing project.
