Give NCW Donors Support Highland Center

The generosity of donors contributing to the annual GiveNCW campaign coordinated by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW) generated more than $2,400 in support of Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare's (OBHC) Highland Center.

"These donations are particularly welcome because they help us buy supplies for group meetings, art therapy materials, and other items that may not be covered by our funding sources," explained Melonie George, Day Services Manager at Highland Center. "Highland Center participants especially appreciate knowing that our community supports their mental wellness and recovery."

CFNCW is a tax-exempt philanthropic organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties.

"OBHC and Highland Center are proud to be associated with an organization like CFNCW that does so much good for the community," said Ms. George.

Located on the OBHC campus in Omak and formerly known as Highland Clubhouse, Highland Center is a warm and welcoming drop-in center where individuals can participate in therapeutic group sessions, learn to manage their mental/emotional health, gain strategies for maintaining substance-free lives, and practice skills for independent living. Best of all, they can build social relationships with others who understand their challenges and can support their journey toward personal wellness.
