News & Other Updates

As OBHC prepares to launch our NEW Early Childhood Mental Health Program this fall (more details coming soon!), we are deeply grateful for the incredible support and partnership we have received from organizations throughout our community. These collaborative relationships have helped shape a program designed to build knowledge, strengthen skills, and support local children, caregivers, and families through relationship-centered care.

The Early Childhood Mental Health Program will be specifically designed to serve young children and their families, helping ensure they receive the support they need during these critical developmental years.

In preparation for the program’s launch, OBHC staff have participated in a variety of specialized training opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. One of these trainings was Promoting First Relationships, led by Dr. Jeannie Larsen. OBHC was honored to host this training not only for our staff, but also for a wide range of community partners who serve children and families across our region.

The training emphasized the importance of strong, supportive relationships in promoting healthy child development and family well-being. To maximize its impact, OBHC hosted two training sessions. The first session provided a condensed, healthcare-focused approach for local healthcare professionals, while the second brought together OBHC staff and community partners who work directly with young children and families.

These shared learning experiences further strengthened the partnerships that help us serve our community and reinforce our collective commitment to supporting children and families through connection, collaboration, and care.

We are excited to share more information about the Early Childhood Mental Health Program in the coming months and look forward to expanding services that support the healthy development of young children and the well-being of their families.
